Join the Zoo for an adventure filled summer. Campers will learn about animals, habitats and things they can do to help wildlife. Games, crafts, and animal encounters are a part of each camp’s action packed agenda. Registration Zoo Camp is designed for students ages 4 -11. Age restrictions will be strictly enforced to ensure quality programming. All camps are outdoors and go rain or shine so students must dress appropriately. Tennis shoes are best. No flip flops, sandals, or crocs please! In most sessions, campers are asked to bring a lunch. The zoo will provide water and juice. Registration is required one full week prior to the start date of the camp, and reservations are made only with full payment. No refunds are given unless the zoo cancels camp. Space in all camps is limited. To register, fill out the attached form and return to the zoo with full payment. Registration may be mailed or dropped off at the zoo. No phone reservations will be accepted. Please call the Education Department with additional questions. June 30th – July 3rd 9:00 – 3:00 Or August 18th – 22nd 9:00 – 3:00 Learn how camouflage helps animals seem to vanish into their surroundings. This camp also covers our disappearing endangered species and teaches campers things they can do to help protect animals. Bring packed lunch. Also, learn about the job of zookeepers, veterinarians, the zoo director, conservationists and others who have chosen an occupation working with animals. Bring packed lunch. We will also learn about different careers such as veterinarians, naturalist and zoologist and how these people make the world a better place for animals Bring a packed lunch. Max. 12 $140 members $160 non-members Up Close and Personal July 14th – 18th 9:00-3:00 Come see through the eyes of the animals by taking a peek at how they live and play in their world. Bring a packed lunch . Max. 12 $140 members $160 non-members After Camp Care For working parents - Zoo staff and volunteers will supervise your Zoo Camper from 3:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. with extra camp activities.
