We firmly believe that a little knowledge can go a long way in cultivating respect and love for animals. That’s why we work hard to provide a variety of educational programs and learning opportunities at the Zoo and within our community.
The Mill Mountain Zoo offers many fun and educational opportunities!
- Home School programs - These programs are designed specifically for home school students in grades K - 12. Click here to download the Home School Program brochure.
- Zoo School Field Trips - Our Zoo is a great place for school groups, scout troops, church groups and others. Click here to download the price and reservation form.
- Animal Encounters Outreach Programs - If you can not visit the Zoo, we can visit you. Our popular education programs include encounters with 4 - 5 animal ambassadors during a 45-60 minute program at a location of your convenience. Click here to download the reservation form.
- Zoo Camps - A great way for your child to learn about wildlife and the zoo!! Our new Spring Break Camp, and our adventure-filled Summer Camp program runs from mid-June through mid-August. Campers from Pre-k through 6th grade learn about the wonders of nature in our unique, mountaintop location. Each child receives a great-looking, zoo-theme T-shirt, included in the price. Send the registration form and health & emergency contact form to education@mmzoo.org
- Volunteer Program - The Mill Mountain Zoo is always in need of volunteers to assist with our educational programming and special events. If you would like to donate your time helping the Zoo, please e-mail us at volunteers@mmzoo.org.
