Join us for an exciting Walk on the Wild Side adventure, focusing on the mysterious world of nocturnal creatures! Led by our experienced educators, this guided hike will take you through Mill Mountain’s trails as we search for signs of nighttime wildlife, including mammals, insects, and other fascinating creatures that come alive after dark. Learn about their special adaptations, from night vision and echolocation to bioluminescence and stealthy hunting techniques, as well as the important roles they play in the ecosystem. After our hike, we’ll return to the zoo to meet some of our nocturnal animal ambassadors up close and discover more about the secretive lives of these incredible nighttime dwellers!
