Have you ever wondered what it’s like to meet a sloth? Now you can!

Mill Mountain Zoo’s Sloth Encounter offers guests an unforgettable, behind-the-scenes experience with one of our most beloved residents.

During your encounter, you’ll step inside the sloth’s habitat alongside a zookeeper to:

- Learn all about sloth behavior, diet, and conservation
- Join our feeding session to be up close with Monte
- Ask questions directly to the animal care team who know our sloth best
- (And if the sloth chooses!) Get a rare chance for a close-up photo opportunity

This one-of-a-kind experience is both educational and heartwarming—perfect for animal lovers of all ages!

Encounter Details

Availability: Offered select days and times by reservation only
Duration: Approximately 20–30 minutes
Group Size: Limited to ensure a personalized experience (MAX of 2 adults and 2 children)
Ages: Recommended for ages 10 and up (guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult)
