The Zoo would like to welcome, Alma the Argentine black and white Tegu! Alma will join her new reptile friends in the remodeled Reptile House. Hoover and Damien, the Burmese pythons, have had some great enhancements on their Python House.

Mill Mountain Zoo is pleased to announce the arrival of the “Durham” pack, a family group of 8 red wolves. These wolves were transferred from the Museum of Life and Science in Durham, NC on January 13, 2020.

We wanted to take a few moments and update you on our Go Fund Me campaign that recently ended and how it played out for us. In the end, we raised a total of $8,330, which was above and beyond or target of $5,000.

We are proud to announce that the Roanoke Women’s Foundation has provided the Zoo with a $46,800 grant to renovate exhibits and expand our education program.
